Hand Carved Wax Models

Our wax models help customers see our progress, and help us to clarify a customer's needs. We hand carve our wax models to ensure a positive fit with existing jewellery. This is something that takes a great skill. We believe the human element of custom jewellery design gives the best results for this kind of work.

It takes many hours to make a beautiful item of jewellery. The wax carvings of the wedding bands (in the image) will never going to be made again. None of our work is mass production. This customer came into our store and asked us to make a pair of fitted wedding bands for their engagement ring.

A Wax Model Allows Us to Make Changes

Had the wax carvings of the bands been too wide or the wrong shape, we could easily change things before casting the jewellery in a precious metal such as gold or platinum. There is no need for our customers to be unpleasantly surprised!
