While-You Wait Service
This service has been cancelled until the Covid-19 social restrictions are lifted but for those you are waiting for us to re-open, here is how it works. (If you are in a hurry, please contact us and we will discuss pick up or drop off details. A service fee applies).
Appointments are booked on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you prefer, you may drop pieces off at our store for a later pickup. All appraisal work is done on-site.
Education, integrity and decades of expertise stand behind our appraisal service.
David Conger has 38 years of experience appraising jewellery including his work with 30 fine jewellery stores in the Ottawa area as an independent appraiser. He is a Graduate of the Resident Program of Gemology at GIA, California.
For all-risk jewellery insurance coverage, we recommend a professional jewellery appraisal by our experienced GIA Graduate Gemologist. The evaluation is a report which details the components of your jewellery and concludes with a Retail Replacement Value. It includes a photograph of the item and the expert credentials of the appraiser.
Estate / Probate
For Estate and Probate purposes, jewellery should be evaluated for its Fair Market Value. A qualified jewellery appraiser will research the marketplace and create a report that will stand up in a court of law if challenged.
