Finding a really nice gemstone is the key to making a beautiful ring. Colour is so important. For some, the colour should be light and pale but for others, the colour should be strong and intense.
Recently we were able to find a really nice pink tourmaline. These are often found in Brazil as well as Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Malawi. It has a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. This makes it relatively good for long-term everyday wear.
Notice how the design is simple but the impact the ring is in the colour of the tourmaline. You may be surprised at how affordable compared with a diamond or pink sapphire. Contact us if this design appeals to you and you would like to have an expert help you find one. We have excellent sources for tourmalines and other gemstones.
Note: The stone is very clean. The spots in the lower left corner are actually water droplets that were on the back of the tourmaline after cleaning. We only noticed it after we posted the picture and the ring was sold.
